Capturing the Memories
Jensen & Young Videography and Photography
Sunshine Coast Creative, Ashlee Jensen of Jensen & Young has been living on the Sunshine Coast for 25 years and has been capturing the memories of many weddings over the past two and a half years.
Jensen and Young was born when Ashlee was directing and co-producing two award winning feature films. Ashlee is living her dream now and working full time in videography. The atmosphere and people at Weddings are what won Ashlee over. “I feel great doing what I love, whilst making others feel great, it’s a perfect fit!”
You can find Ash in her downtime painting, writing and spending time with her family or with her animals all the things which brings her joy. You may also find her at the delicious Via Italia on the Mooloolaba Esplanade practising her Italian skills.
Ashlee’s favourite part of a Wedding: “The Groom seeing his bride for the first time, it never gets old! I love hearing the couples read the vows they have written for each other; I tear up every time.”
Ashlee’s prediction of 2020 Wedding trends: Is elopements, and smaller intimate Weddings. “They have such a different feel about them and I’m noticing more couples leaning towards them already.”
Ashlee’s Tip: Choose suppliers who are professionals in the industry. It makes the world of difference. Each supplier should be focused 100% on their couple and absolutely love their job.
Jensen & Young love showcasing Mooloolaba Weddings in their films because the diversity of the locations is always stunning. Stating that “we are so lucky; Mooloolaba is no mediocre location.” Jensen & Young provide all of their couples with excellent planning resources on how to prepare a timeline for their special day and also recommend The Brides Tree for their tips & tricks.”
Ashlee’s Advice: “Try and enjoy it – It should be fun! And remember, it’s your day so create what you want rather than trying to please others. The day flies by so fast you want to have enjoyed it.
Her biggest advice? Invest in your memories! The day is over so quickly and I hear couples wishing they had spent less on a bar tab and more in their photos and film. Once the day is over, your memories are all that you have so value them above anything else.”
